Fine used 1d Mulready wrapper, stereo A251, from Falkirk to 'Mr James Graham, Coxhill, Muiravonside' cancelled fine strike black Maltese cross of Falkirk and on reverse 'FALKIRK' date stamp JY 1 1842 and 'LINLITHGOW' date stamp JY 2 1842. Within fine advert with imprint at upper right 'Stamp and Tax Office,/Falkirk, 8th March, 1842.' (MA224a). Printed contents crossed through and used as a personal letter not a tax demand. Rare advert with only two examples recorded to date. (Ref 141744).
