Fine letter from Rhiwargor dated 2nd January 1841 to 'Mr Williams, Wool Stapler, Welshpool' with fine 1d black pl.6 (SG2) lettered QD, fine four margins and tied red Maltese cross of Bala. Alongside fine strike 'BALA' straight line hand stamp in red (W168). Fine Welsh usage of the Penny Black. (Ref 141708).
