Fine letter from Evan Powel, Curate of Builth dated March 15 1741 'To Mr Henry Montague, Secretary to the Governours of the Bounty of Queen Anne, at Lincolns Inn, London', charged '4' and on reverse superb strike 'HAY' small type straight line hand stamp in black (W1106). The writer is enquiring as to whether an estate purchased for the Augmentation of the Curacy of Langanten in Brecon has been approved and he instructs the reply to be sent 'by the Hay Bag'.
