THREE COVERS 1884/1885 FROM LONDON TO 'LIFU, LOYALTY ISLANDS, NEW CALEDONIA, S. PACIFIC' WITH 4D GREEN (SG192). Three fine to very fine envelopes 1884/1885 all from London and addressed to 'Rev. J. Sleigh, Lifu, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia, S. Pacific'. First with 4d green (SG192) lettered RF cancelled 'LONDON/SE15' duplex OC 2 84, the second with 4d green (SG192) lettered KA cancelled 'LONDON/SE2' duplex OC 31 84 and the third with 4d green (SG192) lettered IA cancelled 'LONDON/SE4' duplex MR 6 85, all with 'SYDNEY' date stamps and two with 'CALEDONIE/NOUMEA' date stamps. A VERY RARE TRIO and the first mail to the Loyalty Islands we have seen or handled. (3 items). (Ref 141649).
