1883-4 LILAC AND GREEN PROPOSED DESIGNS BY DE LA RUE, FOURTH SCHEME. A very rare grouping of ten items, all on piece slightly larger than stamp size believed prepared by De La Rue with the accepted designs, printed by lilthography on thinned gummed paper and originally from a 'Scheme' sheet. The ½d is printed in slate, the 1½d, 2d, 2½d and 3d are in lilac, the 4d, 5d, 6d, 9d and 1s are in green. The 1½d and 2d values are without corner letters and the 5d is uses the unadopted Die 1 design with line under 'd'. See page 243 SG Specialised catalogue for other details.
