1841 1D PL.20 (SG8)(RD) VERY FINE RED MALTESE CROSS OF ERMEBRIDGE, DEVON. Piece with very fine 1d (SG8) lettered RD with fine margins tied fine to very fine strike of a RED MALTESE CROSS in a paler shade with small part Ermebr'idge' date stamp in same shade. Mike Jackson records five examples from Ermebridge in Feb/March 1842. Very rare. (Ref 141426).
