Envelope sent registered mail from Kendal to 'Mrs Susanne Rawlinson, .... nr Cartmel, via Milnthorp' with fine pair die 2 1d rose-red on white paper (SG40) lettered NA NB paying 2d postage and 6d lilac (SG70) paying registration, stamps tied fine strikes '411' numerals of Kendal. Also on front 'KENDAL' date stamp NO 27 1858. On reverse 'NEWTON IN CARTMEL' date stamp NO 28 1858. Fine usage. (Ref 140945).
