1753 MAIL ALNWICK TO LONDON WITH EARLIEST RECORDED 'ALNE/WICK' HANDSTAMP (NR8). Very fine letter from Alnwick dated 23 April 1753 'To Abraham Dixon Esq. Red Lion Square, London', charged '3', on reverse light strike, almost albino 'ALNE/WICK' two line handstamp in black (NR8) used ten years prior to County Catalogue listing and the earliest recorded handstamp from Alnwick.
