1839 PIECE WITH SMALL PART STRIKE OF THE UNIQUE UNIFORM FOURPENNY POST '4' HAND STAMP. Piece from Huddersfield to Wakefield with small part Uniform Fourpenny Post hand stamp '4' of Huddersfield, also on piece fine strike oval 'PAID/at/HUDDERSFIELD' hand stamp in red and large part strike 'WAKEFIELD' date stamp DE 20 1839. Apparently the only known example of the Huddersfield Uniform Fourpenny Post '4' hand stamp and sold for £300 in auction September 1999. (Ref 139502).
