1711 MAIL PEMBROKE TO LONDON WITH 'PEM-/BROOK' TWO LINE HAND STAMP (W1874). Fine letter from Pembroke dated June the 12th 1711 'for George Carew Esq, att his Chambers in Lincolns Inn, London' and charged '4'. On reverse very fine strike of the very rare 'PEM-/BROOK' two line hand stamp in black with hyphen added (W1874) and alongside good strike London Bishop mark 'JU/18'. A very rare hand stamp and rare early provincial usage. (Ref 138617).
