1834 LETTER SIGNED 'ROBERT PEEL', ON REVERSE TWO FREE FRONTS, ONE WITH 1D BLACK PL.2 (SG2)(NL). Letter from Whitehall, 116 x 184, signed by 'Robert Peel' 'Sir, I have had great pleasure in presenting to the House of Commons the Petition mentioned in your letter of the 7 instant', dated July 11 1834. Obviously from a collection of free franks/signatures and on reverse two fronts, one with attractive 1d black plate two (SG2) lettered NL, very close at left and cancelled red Maltese cross. Some soiling from adhesive used to affix to paper. (Ref 137643).
