1849 PRINTED 'PROPERTY TAX' LETTER 'ON HER MAJESTY'S SERVICE' FROM LONDON TO WIGTON, RE-DIRECTED TO KESWICK. Fine printed 'PROPERTY TAX' form concerning a Mr Rigg of Wigton from London 'To Mrs Merry Knowles, Newlands, near Wigton, Cumberland' with Wigton crossed through and additional manuscript 'Not Near Keswick' and 'try Wigton again'. On reverse 'PENRITH' and 'CARLISLE' date stamps NO 14 1849, also 'WIGTON' date stamp NO 15 1849. Slight soiling but good usage. (Ref 137182).
