1841 LARGE PART LETTER LONDON TO WELLS, SOMERSET WITH 1D RED PLATE 1C (SG7)(BL). Good large part letter from London dated April 2nd 1841 to 'Mr John Whitehead, Wells, Somerset' with good 1d red from the very scarce plate 1c (SG7)(Spec AS8) lettered BL with four close to good margins and tied fine strike black Maltese cross. Stamp small surface rub but showing THINNER CHECK LETTERS and THINNER UPPER SQUARES associated with this plate repair. (Ref 137159).
