1847 1D PINK ENVELOPE WROUGHTON, WILTS TO LONDON WITH 'WROUGHTON' UDC (WL870). 1d pink envelope, some creasing, Wroughton to 'Mrs Galloway, 45 Torrington Square, London' cancelled several strikes of the very scarce '769' numeral of Wroughton, Parmenter rarity guide 'G'. On reverse fine strike 'WROUGHTON' udc in black (WL870) and 'SWINDON' date stamp JU 30 1847. Udc only recorded in County Catalogue 1850-53. (Ref 136774).
