Entire letter from the 'Bury Gas Company' to 'Mr Samuel Woodcock, Solicitor, Bury' with die 2 1d (SG29), off centre, tied good to fine strike 'BIRKENHEAD/74' spoon (RA1) 20 DE 1856 code 'E'. On reverse fair but readable strike of the very rare 'LIME KILN-LANE' udc in dark blue, also 'BURY-LANC' date stamp DE 21 1856. (Ref 136089).
