1842 LETTER USED IN EDINBURGH WITH 1D PL.21 (SG8)(IC DOUBLE 'C' SPEC BS10ba). Letter used locally in Edinburgh to Great King Street with 1d pl.21 (SG8) lettered IC, just touched at top otherwise fine margins and tied fine strike Edinburgh Maltese cross. Stamp clearly shows variety 'C DOUBLED AT FOOT' (Spec BS10ba). On reverse Edinburgh date stamp SEP 23 1842. (Ref 135515).
