1840-41 MATCHED TRIO 1D BLACKS PL.1A (SG3), PL.1B (SG2) AND PENNY RED PL.1B (SG7) LETTERED DB. A fine to very fine used 1840 1d grey-black pl.1a (SG3) lettered DB with four close to fine margins with light strike red Maltese cross and showing 5 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square. Matched with good to fine used 1d black pl.1b (SG2) with good margins but indistinct red Maltese cross, also good used penny red pl.1b (SG7), small thin but fine margins and cancelled black Maltese cross. Both plate 1b show 7 and 10 o'clock ray flaws NW square. An attractive and scarce trio. (Ref 135380).
