    1842 MAIL KESWICK, CUMBERLAND TO LANCASTER WITH WAFER SEAL ON REVERSE. Fine wrapper, folded as an envelope, from Keswick to 'Mifs Thompson, Mr Tolbuts, Wesleyan Minister, Lancaster' with good to fine 1d pl.24 (SG8) lettered JH, four close to fine margins and cancelled fine strike black Maltese cross, not tied but belongs from reverse. On reverse 'KESWICK' and 'LANCASTER' date stamps DE 6 1842 and part yellow wafer seal 'Bless them who persecute you, bless and curse not' unfortunately wafer seal damaged from opening. (Ref 135002).
