CIRCA 1844 FRONT TO GLASGOW RE-DIRECTED TO VIRGINIA USA WITH 1D (SG8)(HE). Circa 1844 front, origin unknown addressed to 'William Kerr Care of Mefsrs Gilmour and Kerr, Glasgow' with 'Ship Letter' hand stamp in red and thence re-directed to Richmond, Virginia with 1d (SG8) lettered HE, just touched at foot otherwise close margins and tied '159' Scottish numeral of Glasgow.
