1904 'SAMPLE POST' CONSTANTINOPLE TO EDINBURGH. 'SAMPLE POST' parcel label (138 x 75) 'Sample without Value' from Whittall and Co. in Constantinople addressed to 'Messrs. Cockrane and Paterson, Edinburgh' unfortunately rather creased with date stamp '28 SEP 1904'. On reverse KEDVII 1d and 2½d, latter overprinted '40 PARAS' and cancelled single strike 'BRITISH.POST.OFFICE/CONSTANTINOPLE' SP 28 04. (Ref 129673).
