CIRCA 1834-1840 MAIL ABERFORD NEAR LEEDS TO BEVERLEY WITH 'WETHERBY/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (YK3142). Fine letter part cross written to reduce postal costs from Aberford to 'Francis Watt Esqr, Beverley', charged '8' and on front fine strike 'Wetherby/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (YK3142). On reverse very fine strike boxed 'No.1' receiver's hand stamp of Aberford in black. Slight soiling but largely clear of hand stamps. (Ref 129637).
