1856 MAIL FRANCE TO WORCESTER WITH 'M/NR' HAND STAMP GRAND NORTHERN RAILWAY. Fine envelope with letter from France to 'Thos. Southall Esqr., Solr., Shaw Street, Worcester' with French 40c tied '455' lozenge cancellation and London 'PAID' date stamp 23 JY 1856. Also on front fine strike circular 'M/NR' hand stamp in red of the Grand Northern Railway. On reverse WORCESTER date stamp JY 23 1856. Writer states 'please recollect with 4 Stamps, or they will charge me 1s 4d'. (Ref 129561).
