    1838 MAIL HAYDON BRIDGE TO CORBRIDGE WITH 'HAYDON/BRIDGE' TYPE H HAND STAMP (NR312). Written invoice in respect of builders hours dated May 4th 1838 to 'Mr. Sample, Matfen Hall Office, To be left at Corbridge', charged '1' and on front light strike 'Hexham/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (NR35). On reverse fine to very fine strike of the very rare 'HAYDON/BRIDGE' two line hand stamp type H in red (NR312), apparently this is the better example of the only two known recorded examples.
