1836 ENTIRE SOUTHEND TO ROUGHAM, NORFOLK WITH 'ROCHFORD/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (EX364). Fine entire from Southend to 'Mr William Berry, Bircham Rectory, Rougham Norfolk' dated 21st Jan 1836, initially charged '8', altered to '11' and on front fine strike boxed 'No.1' receiving house hand stamp of Southend. On reverse good to fine strike 'Rochford/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (EX364) overstruck London date stamp 22 JA 1836. (Ref 125163).
