1847 MAIL TO LONDON WITH 'TOTTON PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (HA1420). Fine wrapper to 'B Frere Esq. Lincoln's Inn London' with 1d (SG8) lettered SH, just touched at lower right and tied '723' numeral of Southampton. Also on front good strike 'Totton/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (HA1420) and on reverse SOUTHAMPTON date stamp FE 7 1847. (Ref 123439).
