1852-54 DIE 1 1D PL.157 MATCHED PAIR LETTERED PD PE IMPERF (SG8) AND PERFORATE (SG17). Fine used horizontal pair 1854 die 1 1d pl.157 S.C.16 (SG17) lettered PD PE, some perforation strengthening between stamps otherwise a very fine pair cancelled single strike of the '162' numeral of Cardiff. A very scarce multiple from a scarce printing. Matched with two good to fine used imperforate 1d (SG8) lettered PD PE, PD very close but just clear otherwise good margins, PE fine used and cancelled '75' of Birmingham. Rare matching. Ex Folkard.
