1836 DORSET/'BLANDFORD PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (DT56). Wrapper Okeford Fitzpaine 'To Mefsrs Rothschild London' dated 31 May 1836 and initially charged '10', rerated '2/2' and confirmed by red 'Crown' style inspector's mark. On front fair strike boxed 'No.2' receiving house hand stamp apparently of Shillingstone, on reverse fine strike 'BLANDFORD/31 MY 1836/PY POST' hand stamp in black (DT56). (Ref 119723).
