1845 DORSET/1D PINK WRAPPER STURMINSTER TO SHAFTESBURY/'BLANDFORD PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (DT56). A fine 1d pink wrapper Sturminster to 'Thomas Wills Esqre Solr. Shaftesbury' dated 13 Sep 1845 and cancelled fine strike '87' numeral of Blandford. On front good to fine strike boxed 'No.1' receiving house hand stamp of Sturminster Newton, on reverse 'BLANDFORD/13 SE 1845/PY POST' hand stamp in black (DT56) and SHAFTESBURY date stamp.
