Wrapper Blandford 'To Archdeacon Macdonald Bishops Cannings Devizes Wilts' with 1d imperf (SG8) lettered BJ, very close but clear to large margins, tied black Maltese Cross of Blandford and on reverse fair strike 'BLANDFORD/26 JY 1842/PY POST' hand stamp in black (DT56). Redirected to 'Post Office Lyme Dorset' with manuscript charge of '1', on front DEVIZES date stamp 27 JY 1842. (Ref 119706).
