1840 DORSET/'BLANDFORD PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (DT56). Letter Durweston to 'Mefsrs Wills and Burridge Solicitors Shaftesbury' dated July 3rd 1840, posted unpaid and charged '2'. On front fine strike boxed 'No.3' receiving house hand stamp, unallocated but presumably Durweston?, on reverse good strike 'BLANDFORD/JY 3 1840/PY POST' hand stamp in red (DT56). (Ref 119691).
