1839 DORSET/'POOLE PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (DT394). Letter from Highmoor Poole to 'The Deputy Registrars Wells' dated 2 Jan 1839 and charged '10'. On front good strike unframed 'No.2' receiving house hand stamp of Bournemouth and on reverse very light strike 'Poole/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (DT394) and POOL date stamp JA 2 1839. Letter requesting marriage licences. (Ref 119651).
