1825 DORSET/'SHAFTESBURY 5TH CLAUSE POST' HAND STAMP TYPE 'F' (DT470). Fine wrapper Wincanton to 'C. Hodgson Esq Bounty Office Great Deans Yard Westminster', charged '10' and on front fine to very fine strike boxed 'No.3' receiving house hand stamp of Wincanton. On reverse light but very readable strike of the boxed 'SHAFTESBURY/5th Clause Post' hand stamp type 'F' (DT470) in black in part overstruck London date stamp 26 NO 1825. Wrapper endorsed with reference to the Curacy of Wincanton in the Diocese of Bath and Wells. (Ref 119611).
