A fine example of the envelope with embossing around place for stamp endorsed "FREE" at foot from Manchester to Wrexham with fine to very fine 1d (SG8) pl.128 lettered TF with close to large four margins tied "498" numeral of Manchester. In margin at lower right vertical sheet separation mark. On front fine strike "BROUGHTON" straight line receiver's hand stamp in blue (M540) and on reverse MANCHESTER date stamp OC 21 1852.
