1914 G.B. POSTAGE DUES (SGD2) USED IN IRELAND IN THE TRANSITIONAL PERIOD 1923. A very fine used block of 21 G.B. 1d carmine postage dues (D2), slight perf separation cancelled eight fine strikes of a TULLOW date stamp 12 NO 23. A very scarce usage during what is known as the Transitional Period from February 1922 until February 1925 when Irish issues were issued. Postage due stamps did not need any overprint for use in Ireland as they did not bear an image of the monarch. (Ref 103626).
