Maynard, Pontefract, Yorkshire' with fine 1d pl.99 (SG8) lettered LI, fine four margins and tied good strike '498' numeral of Manchester. Stamp shows good constant variety 'SMALL VERTICAL MARK OUTSIDE 'I' SQUARE' (Spec BS81f). On reverse 'MANCHESTER' date stamp DE 27 1850 also 'WAKEFIELD' and 'PONTEFRACT' date stamps DE 28 1850.
