    CIRCA 1834-1840 CROSS WRITTEN LETTER ABERFORD, WEST YORKS TO BEVERLEY WITH 'WETHERBY/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (YK3142). Fine cross written letter (to reduce postal costs) from Aberford to 'Francis Watt Esqr Junr, Beverley' charged '8' and on front fine strike 'Wetherby/Penny Post' hand stamp in red (YK3142). On reverse fine strike boxed 'No.1' receiver's hand stamp of Aberford in black. Whilst undated the Penny Post hand stamp only recorded 1834 to 1840. (Ref 129790).
