1842 MAIL ATHERSTONE, WARKS TO 'OVERSEAL COTTAGE, NEAR ASHLEY', DERBYSHIRE MISSENT TO DERBY WITH 'MISSENT TO/DERBY' HAND STAMPS (DY163). Large part wrapper with repaired fault to front, from Atherstone to 'John Woodhouse Esquire, Overseal Cottage, near Ashley', unfortunately stamp removed and on front fine strike ATHERSTONE date stamp OC 24 1842. Also on front manuscript 'Mifsent to Derby' with two good to fine strikes boxed 'MISSENT TO/DERBY' hand stamp in black (DY163) and DERBY date stamp OC 25 1842. Faults but unusual missent mail.
