Fine used 1850 1d Archer experimental perforation pl.98 (SG16b) lettered CJ cancelled fine strike '540' numeral of Neath (Glamorganshire). Matched with good used 1d imperforate (SG8), same plate same lettering, slight surface rubs and cancelled fine strike London '27' Inland Office numeral. A very rare usage of the Archer perforation in Wales, we have records of approx 515 covers with only two recorded in Wales - pl.98 in Hawarden in 1852 and pl.101 used in Narberth 1851. (2 items).
