1853-4 1D PL.162 MATCHED PAIR OF IMPERF (SG8) AND PERF (SG17) LETTERED SC, BOTH STATE ONE. Good used 1853 1d imperf pl.162 (SG8) lettered SC, thin spot on reverse but fine four margins, showing plate wear and cancelled '315' numeral of Thornbury (Glos). Matched with good used 1d S.C.16 (SG17), two short perforations probably due to sheet misfeed, centred high, cancelled '97' numeral of Bury St Edmunds. Both in state one of the plate. Ex Folkard.
