Large part envelope London to 'Sir John Herschel Collingwood Hawkhurst' (Sir John was a well known astronomer and chemist) with good die 2 1d pl.43 pale red on transitional paper (spec C9(3) lettered SC, several short perforations, tied London '18' Inland Office numeral. On reverse London date stamp MR 24 1857. (Ref 120522).
