1845 MAIL FROM OVERSEAS, ORIGIN UNKNOWN TO LONDON WITH 'M.B' AND 'CROWN/EXEMPT.SHIP.LR..' HANDSTAMPS (L1314). Wrapper, origin unknown although senders manuscript within '12 July 1845 H Siaeax and Co', addressed to London, unfortunately addressee crossed, other manuscript on front 'Bill of Lading' 'pr Belfast' and 'Consignee Letter'. Latter manuscript suggesting that this letter accompanied goods and therefore the ship letter charge was not applicable, confirmed by very fine strike 'CROWN/EXEMPT.SHIP.LR..' handstamp in black (L1312). Also on front fine strike boxed 'M.B' handstamp in black. Unusual. (Ref 144710).
