A fine and complete parcel wrapper sent registered air mail London to the US Treasury Department, New York City, USA with a remarkable BLOCK OF SIX £1 Royal Silver Wedding (SG494), also 9d deep olive-green (SG473), 1s bistre-brown (SG475) and 2/6 yellow-green (SG476b) with fine 'LONDON CHIEF OFFICE/REGISTERED/E.C.1' oval hand stamps. On front '11 JUN 1948' date stamp. A quite remarkable usage and apparently the parcel originally contained low quality diamond grit used for sharpening industrial tools etc. (Also small piece probably from same correspondence with a similar block of six).
