1830 MAIL ROTTINGDEAN, SUSSEX TO TUNBRIDGE WELLS WITH 'BRIGHTON/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (SX198). Fine letter from Rottingdean dated August 12th (?) 1830 to 'D Rowland Esqr. Frant, Tunbridge Wells, Sufsex' (Tunbridge Wells is of course in Kent) and charged '8'. On front good strike boxed 'Brighton/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (SX198), on reverse BRIGHTON date stamp AU 10 1830. (Ref 126510).
