Bufs, Mayfield, Sussex' dated April 15 1839 and charged '1'. On reverse good strike 'Lamberhurst/Penny Post' (KT634) and LAMBERHURST date stamp AP 15 1839 both struck in blue-green, also good strike 'Wadhurst/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (SX1243) used three years later than County catalogue records.
