1863 MAIL EDINBURGH TO HONG KONG 4D (SG80) AND 1S (SG101)/VERY SCARCE MIXED ISSUE USAGE. 1865 front, part missing at upper left from Edinburgh to Hong Kong, China with 4d pale red pl.3 (SG80) lettered HH and 1s green pl.4 (SG101) lettered GE tied good strikes 'EDINBURGH/131' duplex JU 9 65. A very scarce combination of 'small corner letters' and 'large white corner letters'. Galland and Simpson only record eleven such examples. (Ref 142597).
