Large envelope, 348 x 147 mm sent registered mail Glasgow to Tokyo, Japan with 1d lilac (SG172) x 2 and good 2/6 lilac (SG178), all tied good strikes 'GLASGOW' double ring rubber cancellation. Manuscript 'Via San Francisco' and on front 'REGISTERED/GLASGOW' oval date stamp 28 MY 98. Faults but rare usage. (Ref 142231).
