1838 MAIL PUCKERIDGE, HERTS TO WOODBRIDGE WITH 'WARE/PENNY POST' HAND STAMP (HE593). Letter from Puckeridge in Herts to 'The Revd. Larkin, Ufford, Nr Woodbridge, Suffolk' dated Aug 12 1838, charged '10' altered to '11' with 1d for local delivery. On reverse good to fine strike boxed 'Ware/Penny Post' hand stamp in black (HE593) and two good strikes boxed 'No.1' receiver's hand stamp of Wadesmill. Tear clear of hand stamps. (Ref 129316).
