1845 FINE PRINTED WRAPPER CONCERNING EMIGRATION TO 'CANADA WEST' FROM LONDON TO BATH 2D BLUE PL.3 (SG14). A very fine printed wrapper, within at top fine printed arms 'CANADA COMPANY' with lions and coat of arms etc, wrapper promoting emigration to the 'HURON TRACT' and other places in Canada West quoting prices of land and rentable value. Wrapper from London to 'W. H. P., Post Office, Bath' with fine 2d blue pl.3 (SG14) lettered RJ, four close but good margins and tied London '10' Inland Office numeral. On front 'BATH' date stamp OC 22 1845 and manuscript 'Not Called for', presumably the addressee had already left for Canada. A most unusual and attractive usage. (Ref 140890).
