Envelope Wincanton to Shaftesbury Dorset with 1d (SG8), just touched in two places, lettered IH tied "883" numeral of Wincanton and on front, partly covered by contemporary manuscript fine strike of the italic style "No.2" receiver's hand stamp of Bourton. Back stamped WINCANTON MY 11 1848 and SHAFTESBURY MY 12 1848. Bourton village is in Dorset. (Ref 111080).
