1848 2D BLUE PL.3 (SG14)(BF) USED WINCANTON TO GLOUCESTER. Fine entire (210 x 92) from Wincanton to Gloucester written on mourning paper with 2d blue pl.3 (SG14) lettered BF, touched in several places tied very fine strike "883" numeral of Wincanton. Back stamped WINCANTON AU 22 1848. Accompanied by fine example similar usage but with fine four margined 1d red (SG8) Wincanton to Yeovil. Both the 1840 and the 1841 2d blues are very difficult to find from the smaller provincial towns. (Ref 110948).
